How can I convert video to flash for a web-page?

 Introduction
Step 1: Download and install AVS Video to Flash

If you have a blog or a home page you might for sure need sometimes to put a video of yours onto your web-site or your web-page for your friends to see it. Of course, you can upload a video to some service - YouTube or something alike - but we have a better solution for you: AVS Video to Flash program will convert your video for web and even create a markup for the web-page with the video. Simply follow the steps below.

Step 1: Download and install AVS Video to Flash Click here to download it. After the download is finished, run the AVSVideotoFlash.exe file and follow the installation wizard instructions.

Step 2: Run AVS Video to Flash and select your input video fileTo select a video you would like to convert hit the Browse… button next to Source File Name field.

In the opened Windows Explorer Window browse for the necessary video file:

Step 3: Select the player skinAfter you have selected the video input file, check the Create SWF Player and HTML page for web sharing check-box:

You will be offered a number of player skins for your output video:

At the same step you can also set some additional video playback settings:

  • Loop video - check this option if you want the video return to the beginning and start the playback all over automatically when it reaches the end. If you leave this option unchecked the video playback will stop at the end of the playback;
  • Autostart - check this option if you want the video playback to start automatically once the web-page and video is loaded. If you leave this option unchecked, the video will load but the your page visitor will need to start the video playback manually.

Step 4: Set the conversion parametersIn the list of profiles (Format Profile) select one of the offered preset profiles:

- Best Quality (Video original; Audio 160 kbps);
- Normal Quality (Video original, 920 kbps, 20 fps; Audio 112 kbps);
- Optimal Quality (Video 352×288, 15 fps, 780 kbps; Audio 64 kbps);
- Low Quality (Video 320×240, 15 fps, 640 kbps; Audio 48 kbps);
- Lowest Quality (Video 176×144, 15 fps, 480 kbps; Audio 24 kbps).

Or select the Edit profile… option in the profiles list to manually set the profile parameters:

Click the OK button to accept the changes you’ve made to the format parameters, or use the Cancel button to discard any changes.

Step 5: Set up a proper video output file pathClick the Browse… button next to the Output File Name field and select a location on your HDD for the output video file.

Note!Note: when you select a location for your output video file, you should save the file to your personal computer HDD.

You can also leave the default output files location.

Step 6: Convert your filesAfter you have set up all the conversion parameters, hit the Start Conversion button to begin the conversion process:

You can visually judge the conversion progress if you click the preview window (if you click the preview window again this will switch the preview off):

The conversion process will take some time depending on the source file size, conversion parameters and your computer configuration. When the conversion is over, the following window will offer possible actions for your created video and the web-page:

Please select the Find Target option to be able to edit the resulting page or Continue to convert more video files.

Now you’ve created a video that you can place to your web page for your friends to see it.
